Some more pics... Car is pretty much done just waiting on heat wrap, metal zip ties, hump coupler for tb, and turbo from precision to finish it up.
K24A1 in:
RBC On (Def took some modifying to the front bulkhead/hood latch. Hood still needs to be modified cause it doesn't close 100%)
Tearing down the Yosolo'd A3:
Rod pulled the wrist pin through the piston... could be a freak accident but chances of that are very very slim.
Come on Precision lol
bill you do good work. and i think the kid should at least have a lawsuit against the people who f'd his shit up. with the screwdriver you said you found and the heat wrap situation its def poor workmanship and if they dont pay for everything then i goes to show them
thanks! yeah shop donated a screwdriver to me... it was sitting on the power steering rack/dp against the firewall. that shit happens but leaving heatwrap off the fuel line within inches of a turbo is unacceptable. not to mention the lack of wrap on the coolant lines and garbage job on the engine harness.
plus how did they expect him to even shift the car? piping was sitting directly on the shift linkage. it doesn't take a rocket scientist to either adjust the piping, make a bracket, or use a hump coupler to pull it closer to the radiator.
i would be embarrassed to do a job like this let alone have it leave my shop.
it WILL be done right this time both on my end and tuning wise. you can not go wrong w/ jeff evans on the laptop
I love build threads........ Keep up the good work mang!@!!!!.....
this must be a revhard kit. i had a problem with shifter weight clearance on the piping as well with the revhard kit.
why is the turbo being rebuilt? its brand new
there were 2 bent fins on the compressor cover that either happened by shipping and/or them trying to install it w/ the cover off.
also, there was tons of metal in the feed line that I didn't wanna take chances on. i want him to get into a car that is 100% done and ready to daily drive. if it means waiting for precision to rebuild it then so be it.
there was shavings everywhere when that turbo came off so I wouldn't be surprised if precision replaces all the seals.
im installing my kit tomorrow! what do i need to move or heat wrap? sorry to jump in your tread like this just curious beacuse you said that shop did not move or heat wrap everything! i dont want to do the same mistakes the shop did!
whats the status your build?
