    [request] DIY: Changing Spark Plugs

It's time to change mine out and I know it should be fairly simple. But I've never done it before so I want to make sure I don't screw anything up. Anybody got a DIY? Thanks.

its real easy mang. undo the 4 bolts that hold the spark plug cover on. remove that. then undo the bolt that holds the coil pack. unscrew the spark plug and screw the new one back in. easier than changing your oil

Sounds easy enough. I've just never done it before. I heard you should replace the coil packs too is that right? Thanks.

don't replace the coil packs, they are crazy expensive to replace for no reason(they should last at least 120,000 miles i would think, if not the lifetime of the car), you may be thinking of spark plug wires(which our car does not have). Be careful not to over tighten your new plugs because you will ruin your engine. Just tighten then 1/4 turn after hand tight. Also only use iridium plugs, other kinds will ef up and you will have to replace them again, if not your whole engine.
