hahaha i have a major case of OCD when it comes to cleaning my baby. takes me around 4 hours to wash, clay, wax, vacuum, interior clean, polish, etc. my car on a week-to-week basis. call me crazy, but i can't help it. once i get started there's no stopping me. ahaah
The only thing that I am crazy about is making sure the seat belts are all the way retracted when I get out and the passenger seat being at the right angle. But now after reading this thread I have started to notice things like the honda on the key facing me and the knobs and what not. Thanks guys lol.
All the climate controls must be at the first setting if not in used.
Lock all the doors.
MAke sure there is nothing on the floormats esp. loose papers.
Make sure the radio volume is on low low
Make sure car is in neutral
I make the the beeping noise (assuming it is coming from seltbelt on the driver) stops before i start my car.
I have my entry procedure like a lot of you..
But the biggest thing I have a problem with is dog hair.. Holy shit I hate dog hair. Some of my best friends have the stupidest animals that shed like it is no tomorrow (my dog never sheds, never gets hair on anything.. wtf?) and hair gets all over my car.. It pisses me off so badly I carry around a towel to wipe it off of the trim/interior and a lint roller thing to get it off of the seats inbetween vacuums twice to three times a week depending on how often I take said friends in my car.
Dog hair is the worst.
open the door
get in the car
lift my balls (mandatory, so balls don`t get crushed by tight seat)
shove my fat ass into tight bucket seat
put the seat belt on
start the car
open both side windows all the way down
if my balls are not in right place, i just cannot drive at all
thats my biggest concern
It's hard to heel-toe it when you're sitting on a nut, I hear ya.
And now in addition to EVERYTHING else mentioned here, I now have to face my key the right way when putting it in the ignition. I also keep some swiffers under the cup holders for long lights or waiting for someone; they are great on the dash to get all the little fibers and bits of dust.
I just make sure my steering wheel and tires are straight when I park. That's it.
I just do normal safety check stuff, adjust mirrors, make sure I have a spare tire or some fix-a-flat, and lock the doors for safety. Make sure I have my paperwork incase I get pulled over. If I am worried about cops I roll my front windows down because of the window tint. I don't have OCD however, just normal stuff. Once I am on the freeway I crack open the sunroof and crack open the side windows and I have a smoke.
