    so which head would whield more power a K24 head with some cams or a bare bones A2 head? Im interested in knowing.

    Because if the k24 with cams is only slightly cheaper but the A2 head give more power for a little more Id rather do an A2 head swap.

    ummm, that would be a hard one to decide. i think somebody on here did a k24 head with cams, maybe he will chime in.

    Here is my OPINION
    and thats really all it is
    MOST N/A guys when they are trying to get really high numbers phase out vtec, although then the streetability of the motor isnt what it could be because they basically have vtec lobes all the time, so low end is a pita.
    if you're looking for a reasonable 200 n/a whp it will be easier and more streetable with true vtec.
    so my vote would be the k24a2 head.
    Your car wont be a dog around town, and when you experience that 3lobe vtec with some springs and retainers and a good tune at 8k, you'll be pretty stoked in my opinion.

    I reved mine to 8k and it held up fine. I did fine the breaking point, It was after 8.5k and some time before 13k. Just an fyi.

    What kind of power #s are you guys putting down with the k24a1 head on the a3?
