They should be studs with nuts
Wait so your trying to put bolts through the top 2 holes?
They should be studs with nuts
Plus one on the mani. There should be studs there. Check and see if the studs came out with the nuts. It might look like a bolt. I had to unscrew the fuel rail stud a little to be able to get a nut to thread on. You can use the double nut technique. Take the two nuts from the studs and tighten them together on top of the stud. Then you will be able to use the nuts to loosen the stud like a bolt. Just do enough to be able to thread a nut on top.
the ol' double thread thingy ma bober. doug (talonracer) showed me that when he installed the rbc with me watching
With that mani it is hard to even get the nut on the stud. I dont think you will be able to get a bolt in there without grinding it down. I would not go that route though. Just put a stud back in there and do it right.
I had a hard time with the stud on the left side looking down from the valve cover is that the same as you?
If you use a stud it will be a little easier. Get the stud in tight but not to tight. Then when you go to put the mani on, as soon as the stud starts to poke through the hole, start to put the nut on. So hold the nut on the back of the hole before the stud starts to poke out as soon as it makes contact with the nut start to thread it. Once its on there a good way you should be clear of the mani to tighten the nut in the sequence that it should be done from inside out.
But if you really want to use a bolt you can just grind one corner off of the bolt and see if that clears the mani. It just might.
oooooooooooo okay! got ya! ill do that method then! it seem like an effective method right! i like that a lil better than grinding my mani! ill check out aces hardware tomorrow and see if they got any studs the same as the stock bolt! thanks ooooo also what spark plugs were you using? a question came up about the stock rsx plugs
I use the bkr8eix. Let me go and check that....yeah thats right
