Is the porpoise of this de-rice to take it back to stock? or are you donna work on it once its done?


The car looks like a 4x4 again with the stock suspension.
So how much damage is on the type r skirts?

The goal is to:

1.) Return it to Daily Driver status.
-The ride on the stock suspension is awesome, it's almost as if it's a new car. I truly believe if you plan to use a car as DD, you have to very careful when lowering your car. Now I don't need to cringe every time I approach a bridge or a small dip on the highway.


The skirts were riveted in, but otherwise they are in pretty good shape.


2.)DD status is a must!

Not sure what route I am going to take, but I don't think an aftermarket Turbo is a good idea for a daily driver, Supercharger maybe. All that is further down the list, very low on the list.

I found out that my 3rd gear synchros are gone, I can't even downshift from 4 Th to 3rd gear while driving.

Did all the usual stuff, like change the Tranny oil, Sychromesh, etc, no go.. took it to the dealer and was quoted 1,400 dollars just to rebuild the 3rd gear.

So I decided to buy a RSX-S tranny from the classifieds, hopefully it turns out to be a good investments.

I love this thread....every week you could see some changing for this EP into the right way....

I see Skunk2s gone stocksuspensions came and the frame of this Ep3 would says to you: OMG, Thank you for giving me back some stock suspension, now the dampers could do their job, i feel better now and you as a driver wouldnt get headache.

thats why I lowered by car only 1.2 inches with Eibach lowering springs, at first you could use OEM shock absorpers, the second is handling is better than stock and third it looks better then stock, but is usabele for DD.

I don't care about the reverse lock out, and it's a 04 tranny. not a 05-06 with the VSS issues.

The car's already looking better. I'm a sap when it comes to rescuing cars. The mindless stuff some people do to cars really makes me sad.

NEVER!!!!

If I ever lower it, it would have to be a very subtle drop, like "mr-alternative" 's drop.. that looks clean but retains a good ride.


Lowering in the lowest item on my list, I am in no hurry to mess around with the suspension again... it was a pain in the ass!

I already ordered a rear bumper from another member on this board, eventually I'll get a front bumper too.
