    Under the hood cleaning

Just wondering how you guys keep everything under the hood clean, just bought my Si about 4 months ago and dirt starting to apear all in my engine compartment. Also is it worth taking the car to the dealer once and a while for a complete wash (or so they clame).

I use a new rag, WD40, on old toothbrush, and a small cup.

Spray about an inch or two of WD40 into the cup (hey, its cheap stuff that works and doesnt stain or ruin anything). Now you can dip and clean your toothbrush in there as you go. Spray the stains in the nooks and crannys. Spray the rag and wipe big areas.

WD40 is great for getting bugs/shite/tar off the front of the car, too. Just spray the spot, and let it set for about a minute, then wipe it off with a rag.

Its good for cleaning the wheels, but ALWAYS spray the RAG and NOT THE WHEELS...you dont want to accidentally overspray onto your brake disks or pads!!!!

Thats what I do. If your engine gets greasy, then some engine gegreaser w/ water works well!
Just spray your battery terminals with some WD40 when your done and your set.
