Thanks for doing it Az. And thanks for posting everything up here. Appreciate it. Sounds like Hondata, although it seems to be great now, will really pay off once they figure out a way to get mods to react productively with it.

so basically you werent pushing it to the limits. hmmm i still get the feelin we'll see some 15.3's and maybe 15.2's out of this when some other folks have a crack at it at the tracks:)Originally posted by Az02Si
2.45 60ft,and i was NOT shifting at fuel cut.I was prolly more like at 7500.Sorry guys,i did get on it,but i have to drive this car everyday,remember that also.For ME,fuel cut is about where 8200ish would be,i was at about 7800 indicated?I was NOT trying to rag the hell out of the car tonight.I wanted to see what kinda gains i got,and i was happy as hell when i hit 15.50s...Everyone and their damn brother was asking me what i did to the car to make it run mid 15s,since like i said,on THOS TRACK,EPs do NOT run ANYWHERE NEAR mid 15s stock.BTW,i was slipping the clutch at 3k and bogging badly,then spinning like MAD going into second gear.If i could get a dozen runs or so in there would be low 15s posted for sure.
I would be scared about pushing it to the limits too. The reason I haven't gotten the hondata yet is because the extra rpms make me nervous. I'm a college kid who can't afford a new engine.
Ill do it next friggin week man.Oh,any stock guys think they can come close to my times at Firebird,heres a deal for you.....If you beat my car or get within 3 lengths of it,ill pay your way to the track,get you a hooker,a box of rubbers and a case of beer...Sound fair?
hitting mid 15's w/ just a 700rpm higher redline and 10+horses is pretty damn good considering the average 1/4 mile for the EP is high 15s...just wait for Hondata to figure things out better and you guys will be in the high 14's in no time =)
Just do it =) Hondata is a very reliable company and as long as you dont mis-shift your engine will be fine...even if your not comfortable w/ shifting at the higher redline..just shift at the normal redline while enjoying that fact you have better midrange torque etc etc from the ecu....I would be scared about pushing it to the limits too. Do you honestly think that I could make myself shift at the 6800 redline when I know I can take up to 8k?:DOriginally posted by ArcticBlueRsx

check the last couple of pages. I have updated times. . . .Originally posted by Glix
Yah, Chunky aren't these your stock times? I can't see how you have room to talk about who can and cannot drive.
1/4 = 16.544
60ft = 2.471
trap = 79.50 MPH
1/4 = 17.233
60ft = 2.826 <-- the reason why it was such a bad run
trap = 82.27
now the picture is becoming clearer.Originally posted by Az02Si

if you shifted significantly below the new redline, then 15.6 makes a bit more sense.
you'd be surprised at how much those extra few rpm help out.
15.50 fool ;) Cheating me out of a tenth ;) j/k.....Honestly,it was just funny watching everybody start to run their mouths.....I need another night at the track and i promise 15.30s will happen.And thats QUITE a feat here at the track i run at.
yeah, different tracks make a huge difference. traction out of the box, and down the stretch vary a lot from track to track.Originally posted by Az02Si

elevation is also a killer, although at 1500ft, you're not too high up.
15.3 in stock trim at a slow track would satisfy me.
that would translate into 15 flat at a fast track (closer to sea level, good traction)
also, wind makes a huge difference. . ..
I don't give a fack what anyone says, thats some good times, and you bet your ass I will be getting hondata in my car too. thanks for posting your times..
Thanks man,its appreaciated.The car still has 2 tenths in it as far as im concerned.Ill prove it too.I was good at proving people wrong with the last car,well,ill do it with this one too.
i guess those are ok times. im not the best drag racer so if i were to run a 15.5 i would be pretty happy. Anyways what will we be running with i/h/e/hondata heatshield/and chip? think a high 14 would be realistic or am i smoking to much crack?
