here are a few of the advantages and disadvantages:

advantages of 18's? bigger, flashier, more bling blingish (if u like that)
disadvantages: bigger, heavier, stuck getting a 35 series tire little sidewall-which inturn greater risk of bending wheels

advantages of 17's: still bigger than stock, lighter, allows u to get a tire with slightly more sidewall,(not be stuck with 35 series tires)also better selection of wheels/tires in this size

disadvantages: everyone has this size nowadays, not as big of a deal as it used to be. smaller size, not as flashy/noticable
    :)

    18's
Advantages: Mucho bling factor, the ladies like 'em, you'll be "rollin on dubs."
Disadvantages: Easy to bend, likely to get jacked, heavy, slows u down, expensive tires.

yeap, like he said. You should check out the new line of wheels from Velox..I think they're called Pro-Series or something 17" weighing in at 11.5lbs! But..I don't know anything about their quality.

remember that even though there are light 17s and 18s,they will still slow you the hell down due to rotational enertia.

Had 18's.. but I bent them when I hit a brick on the freeway.. had them fix and sold them.. now I got 16 with falken azenis... after that, I never looked back.. now if there were falken azenis in 18's then I would have stayed 18's.... make sure you dont spend all you money on the rims.. it is important to get real good tires...

What size tires? 205/40 or 205/45 or 215?

What would be the best for performance?
