PIAA's!! I've been using their Extreme Whites in several cars for several years. I can only remember like one bulb ever going out. I would have thought that Nokyas would be decent...

ive been in your shoes. at one point, both of my fog lights (xenon gas bulbs) started bulding, like the glass part, very weird. and its ghetto a bit, i loved it but i didnt like puttin on show that i went the easy/cheapo way. get HIDs, go to ebay you can find kits for 50 bucks. they will surely last u more than 3 months, maybe 8 to a year if there really really really ebay kits.
ddm tuning hid kits....30 brand new with a lifetime warranty... if your spending 20 on bulbs every 3 months might as well go this route
I have ge headlight bulbs...its been more than 3 years.
Besides Raybrig/Piaa....the cheaper brands like Nokya/Luminics/etc tend to burn out real fast from my experience.
GE is good because its a legit company, cheap, and last till the end of days...id like to think.
*Just cop a set from Walmart.
*If your going for the "HID look" bulbs..dont bother. Just get projector headlights and HIDS...the "HID look" bulbs look cheesy.
thanks for the input guys, yeah maybe its time for hids but im kinda worried that it'll suck out too much of my battery
I've have decent results with the Sylvania's
I never get them in white or higher
For halogens I alwys get the stock 4300 (i think that's what it is)
They tend to last longer.
they run cooler, and on the box their lifetime is in the higher ratings
With the HID's I like oem white

Wouldn't it be more since the oem harness triggers the relay to turn on.
So the power used for the halogens is used for the relay, and the relay takes an additional 12 volts? to power the ballasts/HID's?
And that power that is used to trigger the relay, stays on until the switch is turned off, just like normal halogen use?
the 12volts is just a random number that I think is right, but could possibly be totally wrong

don't even think about HIDs, they glare and blind like hell. And the Cheap ddm and ebay kits fail early and the bulbs suck. DDM doesnt even sell the ddm kit anymore so there goes your warranty. I say to use Phillips HIR bulbs if you're running 9006, they are abit pricy, and you have to shave them down to get them to fit, but they are focused in your headlights unlike HIDs providing more usable light on the road and not glaring the hell out of oncoming drivers. They are also rated for about 1200-1400 hours I believe, while using the stock wattage. The aftermarket bulbs fail because they are higher wattage which overheats the filament and causes it to fail. If you're running 02-03 lights, I recommend phillips xtreme vision bulbs. Stay away from HID kits without a proper retrofit, and stay away from the aftermarket kits that aren't using the stock wattage, its bad for your wire harness and causes the bulb to fail faster
thread moved to exterior lighting etc.
