    Adjusted valve clearances about 50k ago, oil many times in between lol.
    I'm just kinda surprised, because the times I've had the cover off before, I'd looked for galling and never found any. Suppose maybe the last time round the signs were just subtle, but that shit is wrecked now!
    Sucks, been super proud of this little car breaking 200k, and then it bites me in the ass LOL.
    Guess I gotta source an exhaust cam!

    EDIT: Oh, and you could be right. Purchased off the lot in April `03, and I know it had been sitting there a couple months, so could be I wound up with some late `02 cams in there. Just can't believe it took this long to show!

    I'm not gunna lie, 1gr8ep3 can vouche, my #4 was galled. looks like any other galled exhaust lobe. u all lose.

    def not selling the motor now. its such a piece, i think it ran so bulletproof-like because it cant come apart for shit. we had a 2foot breaker on the crank pulley and couldn't get it off. all the sensors are like, superglued into the fittings. its kind of amazing.
