New Wheel/Tire Size thread

Ok, first post...I'm a newb. I'm looking at Oem Acura TL wheels for my EP. 17x8 and 45 offset. I'm on stock suspension right now but will be dropping @ 1" this summer......will I need spacers for the rear? 215(or 225)/45-17 will be the tire size.

The tl type s wheels?? You need a spacer but I'm not sure what size

Get 5mm spacers. For sure.

Im running 17x8 +40 Its perfect. I used my old 215/45s and it is perfect with my HFP drop. No rolling the rear fenders required for 215, but its like 2mm of clearance from the fender when tucked.

I've been toying with the idea of 225s but rolling the rears would be needed, so if I roll, i'll do 235/40s; When in Rome.

Now, what is the best way to go about rolling the rears? Is there a DIY that comes out clean?

Hi guys,
Quite new here have a very noob question. What tyre size would you recommend for the following wheels spec as I still have plenty of tread on my current 215's:

17x8 F:+35 and R+45 225's or should I slap the 215's on? Car is current lowered with 1.5 finger space clearance at the front and 0.5 finger space at the rear.

215 to 225 isn't a real big difference. you're offsets are super high, so they should fit without a problem. my brain isn't working correctly any more tonight, but being that you're not that low, i don't see any issues.

i just threw some 17's on mine and i had the same debate going on. i eventually chose to go with a 215 45 17 to be safe and not risk rubbing in my wheel well or fenders. i must say my choice has most definately improved overall handling.

2" drop is filled perfectly with 215/45/17 but I'd rather drag my balls down the street on 205/40

Hey I'm lookin at some rpf1 that somebody local is selling. Would 18x8.5 +32 fit on our Ep? It doesn't have tires on them.

I'm drop on mugen ss which is about 1.5

to set flush. i dont want to stretch the tires. hopefully they wont be any rubbing issues

Looking at picking up some spare wheels to take to the track with me and ran across these. 17X8.25 +25 offset. Think they'll fit with 225/45/17 or 235/40/17 tires on them?
