    why do only high beams work?

    does anyone know why my regular lights are really dim and my high beams light up normal their not even bright?

    what year car? If it is 02-03, the bulbs are technically two bulbs, one for high, one for low. Just replace the bulbs in your car.

    its an 02 i drive with my high beams on but they look like if they were my normal lights and my regular light barly light up

    check your wires also.

    on my friends ej1 some ricers owned the car before him and screwed up all the wiring

    it's all good, actually not really. Pull the cover off the steering column and take a look at the connectors. I'm willing to bet it's melted and fried. I have been driving around for 3 years now with only high beams. They are bright, but not that bright plus I have needed to refinish the headlamps but held off because of this to keep the brightness down. There was a recall for 02's, but because my VIN was the second half of 02 Honda wouldn't cover it. There should still be a thread on here that lists the recall and the part number of the required parts. It's only $30-40, but I don't know what labor would run you and I don't trust myself with cutting/soldering wires.
