Does anyone wipe down their ep with a damp rag (chamois?) if the car doesn't really need to be washed but has a thin layer of dust? Sometimes im tryin to head out with a clean car, but don't necessarily need a wash you know? I don't wipe it down cause I'm not sure if it has a potential to cause swirls, but I'm curious what you all do in situations like this lol.

Quick detailer and a microfiber would probably be best. You need some sort of lubrication or it'll probably swirl. Quick detailer will also add some gloss too, so it'll look better than just wiping it with a wet chamois.
Nope never. Cause micromarring and fine scratches. Think about it this way. Would you lightly pass a 200 grit peice of sandpaper on your car?

Haha thanks guys. Just tryin to see what some fellow ep'ers do for their car in need of a quick polish up.
If you're going to give the car a quick wipe down, what about your dusty wheels? Because of scratches and my civic is black, I've always used water of some kind before I wipe down my car. I'll even wipe it down if it gets caught in the rain. Also keeps the dirty water spots off!
If you're trying to wipe down a semi dirty rim/car I'd guess worst case scenario is matting down on the areas that are wet. That would cause the least amount of scratches
Sounds good, thanks for the info.
Wet damp towel to get ride of bugs, bird droppings, tree dropping, etc.
California car dust the car.
Finish with a terry cloth and some quick detailer.
As far as the rims go hose them down or damp wet cloth to wipe them clean. If really dirty i wont even bother untill i wash my car.

i try to not pass any type of clothes on the car if its not wet.. I'll just do a complete regular hand wash just to be on the safe side. Scratches and swirls are horrible lol
