k20a3 does respond well to mods, but is surley lacking a real vtec. if the weight was sufficiently reduced it would be a better platform for the a3. Nothing that cant be fixed/w a little "TLC"

1st and 2nd gear will be close. But once you hit 3rd, you'll be shifting gears while he'll be shifting cams.

Yeah , if you keep racing the engine and working it out , it's gonna let up, one of the only engines that can you can race all the time and not worry about much would be ferrari's and lambo's high revving engines all the time.

I do love the A3, but I love my Z1 a lot more. Honestly, the A3 does it's job. Sure it's not a high rpm screamer or torque monster, but it's reliable & fun to boot around in.

it doesnt necessarily suck but i hate the fact that we lack a vtec lobe. its like running a heavy single cam motor. all in all, its a reliable motor and it gets me places.

For real. At least we didn't get stuck w/ the D15 or D17 power plant like other countries are.

the a3 suits me perfectly for daily driving as i dont autocross or go to the drag strip. but still, i wish i could have a little more power in stock form...

it wouldve been very nice if honda bumped up the hp to 170 in the 04-05s to differ from the rsx base
